We propose to combine the utility of a bike rack with the concept of votive statuary – and thus disseminate the new racks/statues throughout the city. Furthermore, while many would entrust their bike into the hands of George Washington, other possibilities exist. International celebrities, fictional characters or local people of fame could easily be represented and commemorated while also helping New Yorkers guard their property. Protection of material property, greater awareness of history and current events, and beautification of our city streets – these are the goals of ___________________, watch my bike!
